Earthquake is one of the several main natural tragedies in the world to human beings, which often causes tremendous property loss and people casualty. Usually, it happens with building and bridges destruction, landslide, mountain collapse, Tsunami and so on. Simultaneously, earthquake can also trigger flooding, flaming, plague and other secondary disasters.However, the loss by earthquake can be minimized if there are any kind of rational planning, scientific design, and high-quality construction. In other words, it shows us the significance of research, either experimentally or theoretically, on the seismic performance of building and bridge. The triple hydraulic joint-operation shaking table system (SVT) and the structural testing system (MTS) for earthquake simulation in this structural key laboratory of Fujian province are the two of most effective methods for carrying out research on seismic performance of structure.
