The 15th Technology Forum on Operational Safety, Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection of Tunnels and Underground Space will be held in Fuzhou from July 11 to 13, 2025. With the theme of “Smart Tunnels, Better Life”, the forum will invite renowned experts, scholars and industry elites from domestic and international fields such as tunnel and underground space engineering, energy science, materials science and environmental engineering to conduct in-depth discussions around “operational safety, energy conservation and environmental protection”.
This forum is co-hosted by the Tunneling and Underground Engineering Branch of China Civil Engineering Society, Tongji University, Fuzhou University, Fujian University of Technology, Fujian Expressway Group Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen University; organized by the College of Civil Engineering of Fuzhou University, the College of Civil Engineering of Fujian University of Technology, the College of Civil Engineering of Huaqiao University, the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Wuyi University, Fujian Provincial Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., and the China Smart Infrastructure Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Platform; and co-organized by the Fujian Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, Underground Space, Fuzhou Rail Transit Design Institute Co., Ltd. and other institutions.
The conference includes 19 plenary reports, 26 parallel session reports and 22 graduate forum reports, with over 200 participants attending. Professor Ming Huang, Vice Dean of the College of Civil Engineering, presided over the opening ceremony. Yalei Zhang, Vice President of Fuzhou University; Guomai Liu, Vice President of Fujian University of Technology; Zhuwu Jiang, Vice Chairman of Fujian Association for Science and Technology; Jianhua Wang, President of China Association for Promotion of Industry-University-Research Cooperation; Shanyun Guo, Honorary Chairman of the Tunneling and Underground Engineering Branch of China Civil Engineering Society; and Academician Hehua Zhu, Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Forum, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
