Application Procedures

1. Prepare all the application documents andsend by email to :faomail@fzu.edu.cnor directly to the Office of Cooperation and Exchanges (hereinafter called OCE)

2. OCE will check the student qualificationfor language-learning student and bachelor-degree student. It will take twoweeks as usual.

3. For graduate student, OCE will transfer theapplication documents to the Graduate School. The Graduate School will have the final decisionwhether the student is qualified for master’s or doctor’s degree program.During this period, the student may be required to supply more documents to provehis or her academic level. It will take one month as usual.

4. OCE will inform the student by e-mailwhether he or she has been accepted by Fuzhou University.If one student has been accepted by Fuzhou University, please waitfor two months so that OCE will submit all the documents to Fujian ProvincialEducation Department and Fujian Province Foreign Affairs Office to obtain thevisa form (JW201 Form or JW202 Form).

5. OCE will send the visa form and theenrollment letter to the student by express according to the address on the ApplicationForm. The student has to hold the visa form, the enrollment letter and PhysicalRecord to Chinese Embassy or consulate in foreign country to get the studentvisa (X visa). So the student can enter P. R. China legally.

6. On the Enrollment letter, OCE will fix adate as registration day and a date as pick-up day. Please follow these twodates to reserve the flight.

Enrollment Application Documents Required

1. BasicDocuments:

(1) Photocopyof Passport

Thevalid period of passport shall be enough for study period

(2) ApplicationForm for International Students

(3) PhysicalExamination Record for Foreigner

Note: These above-mentioned 3 items are enough forlanguage-learning students

2. Other Documents (It will depend on student typeapplied.)

(1) Bachelor Degree Application

Besides the basicdocuments, the following items are also necessary:

⊙Photocopy of high school graduationcertificate

⊙Photocopy of HSK certificate: HSK 5certificate or above is required for applications to liberal arts majors, HSK 4certificate or above are required for applications to science degree programs.

(2) Master DegreeApplication

Besides the basicdocuments, the following items are also necessary:

⊙Photocopy of college diploma or bachelordegree certificate

⊙Recommendation letters in English orChinese from two associate professors or professors

⊙Photocopy of HSK certificate: HSK 5certificate or above for liberal arts majors, HSK 4 certificate or above forscience majors.

Note:The Office of Cooperation and Exchange will transfer the applicationdocuments to the Graduate School. The Graduate School will have the final decisionwhether the student is qualified for master degree program. During this period,the student may be required to supply more documents to prove his or heracademic level.

(3)PhDApplication

Besides the basicdocuments, the following items are also necessary:

⊙Photocopy of master diploma or degree certificate

⊙Recommendation letters in English orChinese from two associate professors or professors

⊙Photocopy of HSK certificate: HSK 5certificate or above for liberal arts majors, HSK 4 certificate or above for sciencemajors.
